Motor Vehicle Accident – May 11

On Thursday, May 11, 2006 at 13:36 hours, Lyons Fire-Rescue, along with Lyons Town Ambulance, was dispatched to a reported one-car MVA with possible entrapment, in front of 3009 Middle Sodus Rd. Engine 6 took the assignment along with Chief Witt and Assistant Chief’s Paliotti & Darcangelis.

While responding, Command was notified the entrapment was confirmed. Upon Engine 6’s arrival, a single vehicle was found on its roof with the operator partially ejected. The patient was extricated with the use of air bags, and turned over to EMS. Lyons Fire – Rescue remained on scene until the vehicle was righted due to a fuel leak.

The assignment went back into service at 14:29 hours.

LFD was assisted on location by Lyons Town Ambulance, and the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department.
