Early on Monday morning Lyons Fire and Lyons Ambulance were dispatched to 19 Sisson St for a structure fire. Car 7-1, 7-2,7-4, Engine 6 and Truck 1responded to the residence to find flames showing from the 2nd floor of the house. A quick interior attack quickly extinguished the blaze. An engine from Newark responded to the scene to assist as well as members from the Wayne county cause and origin team. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Thanks to Newark Fire Dept, Lyons Town Ambulance and Lyons Police Dept for their assistance.

At approx 12:30 hrs on Thursday, Newark Ambulance was dispatched to a person who was injured from a 20′ fall from a ladder at a construction site. Further information revealed the patient had fallen down into a pit that was under construction. At 09:48 hours Sunday morning Lyons Fire and Lyons Ambulance were dispatched to a reported commercial structure fire at the McDonald’s restaurant on Rt 31 in the village. Engine 6 and Truck 1 went en route and reported smoke showing from the restaurant on arrival. Continue reading →

On Thursday May 31^st 2012 at 19:15 Lyons Fire Rescue along with Lyons Town Ambulance were dispatched for a person trapped under a vehicle.  Rescue 3 took the assignment operated by asst. Chief Rios while enroute Lyons units were advised it was confirmed patient trapped and not breathing under a car. Continue reading →
