At approx 12:30 hrs on Thursday, Newark Ambulance was dispatched to a person who was injured from a 20′ fall from a ladder at a construction site. Further information revealed the patient had fallen down into a pit that was under construction. Newark Fire Rescue along with the Lyons Confined Space Rescue Team were requested to the scene to assist with extrication.

Commercial Structure Fire 7/8/12
At 09:48 hours Sunday morning Lyons Fire and Lyons Ambulance were dispatched to a reported commercial structure fire at the McDonald’s restaurant on Rt 31 in the village. Engine 6 and Truck 1 went en route and reported smoke showing from the restaurant on arrival.
