Commercial Fire – November 3

On Friday, November 3, 2006 at 10:59 hours, Lyons Fire was dispatched to a reported structure fire at the Iroquois Hotel – 14 Franklin St, with smoke and fire visible. Engine 7, Engine 6, Truck 1 and Rescue 3 took the assignment under the direction of Chief Witt and Assistant Chief’s Paliotti, Darcangelis and Rios.

Upon arrival, Chief Witt declared a working fire in a 3 story commercial and requested Newark Fire to the scene for their R.I.T. Engine 7 took the attack, and Truck 1 dropped the supply line and laddered the structure. At 11:04 hours Oaks Corners was requested for fill in and at 11:22 hours, Command requested the Quint from the City of Geneva. The fire was declared under control at 11:48 hours bringing in the Wayne County Cause and Origin Team.

LFD was further assisted on location by the Lyons Town Ambulance and Lyons Police Department. The assignment was back in-service at 13:58 hours.
