On Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at 03:48 hours, Lyons Fire was dispatched to a reported structure fire at 48 Water St. Engine 7, Truck 1 took the assignment under the direction of Chief Witt and Assistant Chief's Paliotti, Darcangelis and Rios.

   Upon Chief Witt's arrival, a working fire was declared in a 3 story, multifamily apartment building. Command requested a RIT Team from the Newark Fire Department. Truck Company operations consisted of laying a supply and roof ops. The fire was contained to the upper apartment and was declared under control within 28 minutes.

   LFD was further assisted on location by the Lyons Town Ambulance, Lyons Police Department. The assignment was back in-service at 06:03 hours as crews assisted the fire investigators.
