On Friday, March 05, 2010 at 23:15 hours, Lyons Fire was dispatched to a reported working structure fire at 7494 Old Lyons Rd. Engine 6, Engine 7 took the assignment under the direction of Chief Witt, Deputy Chief Paliotti, and Assistant Chief's Darcangelis and Rios.

   Upon arrival, Chief Witt reported a working barn fire with exposures and ordered Engine Co 6 to lay in. The crew of Engine 6 made the hydrant, stretched their hand lines and darkened down the fire. Engine Co 7 provided lighting and stood ready on scene. The fire was declared under control at 23:46 hours bringing in an Investigator from the Wayne County Sheriff's Department.

   LFD was further assisted on location by the Lyons Police Department, Wayne Co Sheriff's Department - C.I.D. Division and the Lyons Town Ambulance. The assignment was back in-service at 00:49 hours. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
